Marco's Pizza

Been so long since most of us have been blogging here....seems everyone is either bz or too tired to spend time here....rather den blogging, we prefer to read blogs...ain't that rite?

Soloh, when are you going to post up Hua Loon's pics? not all lar...but a bit also can mah....hehe...let us rekindle those moments a little...

Anyway, went to Marco's Pizza opposite Kelana jaya LRT station the other day...DO NOT GO THERE!!!! I ordered their special marco's pizza which is something like Hawaiian pizza...can't feel the cheese at all...they put a lot of small slices of ham making it taste like ham raher then pizza....any dishes with cheese from William's can easily win my heart over compared to Marco's..so dissapointing....

Their pizza is actually those thin crust pizza...so i reckon, if i choose to eat thin crust pizza, I'll go back to the Italian shop beside SS2 Public Bank anytime..can't remember the name though...Deli *something* if not mistaken...miss those times being there for lunch after college and thinking of what to order while suits my budget...which most of the time we end up with the set lunch and the nice mushroom soup...so gang, wanna go there and have a nice meal again soon?

Lastly, would like to pay my last respects to Dave's pair of shoes...and deepest apologies it happened on that night after all the liqour....but then that incident really made us sober right away in like 5 seconds, don't u agree? hehe

Time coming to an end...

my days at BHPetrol are basically numbered...goin Live! on the 1st of august and i will most likely be supporting them till the 15th of august and then headed of to Sin Chew Daily. have no choice as SAP feels that this is a more strategic move for me to head there than stay on as support consultant till end of the year...though im still required to support them remotely or go back when required. oh well, whatever works for me...just as long as i get my billable days. its been a good 3-4 months though (and yes...im still scared of food!! damn!!). just worried i will be a super banana at Sin Chew Daily. most likely will end up with a scenario of duck and chicken talking (mandarin vs cantonese). really hope i dont mistakingly agree to something i cant do. bwahahaha...

time is also running out as it is almost end of the month and i still have yet to shed that damn 5kg to hit my monthly target. grrr!! oh well...lost the bet again. feel as if i cant lose anymore weight. i wonder if all the weight is actually due to muscles and not fats (muscles weight more than fat by the way). hahaha...yes yes...im trying to console myself miserably. since we're on the topic of losing weight...i wonder things like the pornoRider iGallop and flubberMover uZap actually works. i mean...all they ever do is jiggle the fat when they're using it. just as an experiment, i shall start jiggling my stomach for an hour a day & i'll let you all know if it works. *jiggle* *jiggle* Getting jiggy with it!! *jiggle* *jiggle* hahaha...but in personal conclusion...it wont work!! no pain, no gain man!!

Rest in peace...

sigh...pictures speak a thousand words. that's what happened on saturday. personally, i think i was covered with a black star that particular day. got hit with the famous 3 bad luck curse. one, before i went to the gathering of my close friends, my car was a casualty of a hit and run right in front of my house. quite alot of paint transfer but no major dents. only clips holding up the black plastic broke...which i just replace last month. nevermind...

two, arrived at yc's wife's apartment. had steamboat and hotplate. good food and company...but turned bad when i cooked parts of my 2 fingers when i accidently touched the hot pot. nevermind...i ran it under cold water and applied toothpaste to dry it up. continued on with lotsa food and lotsa liqour...yeah man!! the night began.

three, after having lotsa games and drinks, watching people get wild and poor wah loon get undressed when he was passed out (photos with soloh), i decided to go back. to my horror...refer to the picture above! yes...my beloved adi & adas was flicked despite the grill being locked and the shoe put at innest part of the shoe rack. sigh...that really destroyed me and my day...

i really did love that shoe alot...so much i spent the whole sunday hunting down the same type and colour. found a few which was of the same type but not of the same colour. seemed lacking. but today, darling managed to find it nearby her office...only downside...it was size 9 1/2 when i wear a size 9. didnt get it anyway. just felt...weird. same but different. got something else instead...

and so...adi and adas blue has been born-ed. hehehe. isnt it just a beauty?! what can i say...this is the best pair of adidas shoes ever made!! very happy about it...but i still wished the thief suffers from elephantities of the balls!!

Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest Review *EDITED*

*EDITED (16/7/06- Sunday)*
=====================

I certainly took my time to digest the events that transpires Dead Man's Chest. And after reading sources from HERE, I began to see the poetic meaning behind certain key scenes in the movie (In which casual movie-goers would have easily missed out) and it made some sense.

Like I mentioned, the 2nd movie introduces certain key elements/characters in which will be further (if not deeply) elaborated in the final sequel.

What I want to know more in the third:

1) Why was Barbosa resurrected by Tia. Perhaps his compentancy as Captain rivals that of Jack, and his aid in sailing to the World's End (Where Davey Jone's locker <-- metaphorically sensed, resides, and where Jack is bound for purgatory)

2) More about Davey Jones, how did he and his crew come about with this form of immortality, the significance of his heart.

3) Way interested to learn how the British India company under the command of Becket, manipulates Davey Jones to their twisted will (Perhaps using to monopoly trades that are going on in that era)

4) If not mistaken, Chow Yun Fatt will be present as the Asian pirate Captain- Sao Feng, who holds the knowledge/key to sailing to the World's End. Perhaps his role is merely a distraction and play no significant part in the backbone of the story.

5) Might Liz end up with Jack in the end? Who knows... wikipedia did point out certain key scenes that most movie goers fail to realize (aka the use of the compass).

6) Foohh... I pray that the 3rd will be good. Overall, I change my mind about the 2nd and now awarding it a 4/5 from the previous 2.5/5. =P *

(On to yet seemingly unrelated events)

Had dinner on Sat with parents at Momo's restaurant (Centrepoint). Didn't like the food, and was sorta poisoned by the food... felt like vomitting the whole night it was pretty bad. Not that the cleanliness is compromised there, it's that I've overdone with the teriyaki marinated food stuff (Especially the eel). Apparently I got overdosed by Teriyaki sauce and the puking sensation was so bad I pracitcally stripped naked (SHIELD YOUR IMAGINATIVE EYES!!!! Ahehe... just kiddin) to get a breather on my bed... Turned the aircon temperature to the lowest... God it was pretty bad... I could only lie in one position...facing the void above me. It felt like was on a ship... sailing the seas... rocking back and forth... Thank God I'm ok now. But thinking of teriyaki sauce gonna make me puke. I might as well skip Jap food for a month.

Annnnnnnnyyyyway, my point to why I liked the place was because of a wink* wink* k k k k k k k k working there... Ahehhe... the smile was just HEAVENLY. *Chuckles* *Blush* And the person was wearing a digital watch (Those very very old kind where we kiddies used to adore) hehe simply makes a more k look to it. Heh...

Today was supposed to head for Jap buffer lunch at Shogun 1U (Mouth ajar) with my sis. Though could not bear the thought of consuming Jap food now... I quickly proposed an alternative (Sorry sis, perhaps next time. =P). I had fun with my sis this afternoon, we got to chat chat hehe. Had secret recipe cake after lunch and a lil' beat of walkin around. Wanted to have Ice-cream after the cake but the cakes just murdered our appetite... too stuffed.

Thanks sis for the day... though it could have been much more fun if it weren't for us getting so bumped out that quickly. Hehe. Old already. I crashed after reaching home... that tired huh.

That's about it... MONDAY BLUES!!! Argh!!!! Why must weekdays get back so quickly!

Love ya all Muak*

* EDIT ENDS HERE *
===============

Whew* Pretty fun night. =) Headed for Pirates at Cineleisure after work. It was relaxing. =P Bought some drummets to substitute dinner.

Dang... missed the previews... on with the movie.

(Movie ending...)

My thoughts: "What the f...?"

What's good about the movie is the special effects. Top notch stuff! They did overdo with the Cracken though. =P

Overall, this gets a 2.5/5 rating. No where as light hearted and fun as the first. Hope they do better in the 3rd... Whoops*... Did I just spoil and reveal there's gonna be a third? =P My bad.

Not to be cruel, but since the 2nd did introduce a number of key characters, let's hope the producers develop them in the third. It could very well turn out to be a superb finale after all.

Newsflash: Food lover scared of food...

it is official...i am now scared of food!! why?! simply because BHPetrol feeds us too well. here's a recap of what i have consumed for lunch at said client:

monday - 1901 jumbo hotdog set
tuesday - pizza hut (had bout 3 slices)
wednesday - nasi sotong mamak from little penang cafe
thursday - nasi briyani madu ayam
friday - mcd's spicy beef foldover set

all in all...im scared!! especially from thursday's meal. for the very first time i see ALL the men at BHPetrol denying seconds or additional rice from the ladies. i didnt bother why and did take some rice from my colleague. for first time in my life, i regretted that action. bad move...the rice was somehow compacted up and once i broke it up, i noticed the horror!! now i understand why the men at BHPetrol immediately denied seconds. *stress*

but that's not what scared me. what really scared me was the fact that after i had my lunch today from mcd (which by the way was damn good!!), about and hour later...the menu for monday's lunch landed on my table. *stress* food also have digested and im already deciding my meal on monday. all this is because we're goin live at the end of the month and also user training is currently going on. i asked my project manager on how long this will last...she replied "ohh, training is going to continue on till the 28th". *pengsan* someone...save me from food!!

PS: no Soloh...im not joining FAT JOY CLUB!! going to toughen up exercise schedule...*bleakz* you can continue on your membership drive with yc, kwang and sean. BWAHAHAHA!!

to have a better understanding on what i'm yapping about, highlight THIS posting... :D

What's wrong with these people?

2 days ago, i posted something on "Say NO to Alcohol". today, some joker wants to put more malaysian faces on ads. "We need to practise nationalism. We need to put Malaysian faces on billboards." - the star. i mean...does it even matter whos on the ad?! would one buy something just because that said favourite artist is on the ad?! or on the other hand, would someone boycott the product if it feature someone they didnt like?! i wonder if Mawi were to do a feature billboard ad for the Proton Sawi Savvy would improve sales...or if they used Brad Pitt. they did however, use Malaysian Idol Daniel Lee as the ambassador. did it help anyone aside from him getting a free car?! do you feel any more patriotic than you were before that happened?!

my point is, no one buys a product because they see they favourite person on the billboard. it might get their attention, but that's as far as it goes. imagine this, scantily-cladded Jessica Alba posing for something say...the Proton Juara. would you buy it?!

HAHAHA. sometimes i wonder what goes through the minds of these people who comes up with such ideas. instead of coming up with such stupid idiotic nonsensicle ideas, why not think how your position can help benefit your nations well-being. all this rubbish to promote nationalism with malaysian faces on billboards...who cares?!

Say NO to Alcohol!

hahaha...read this from an article in the star - "The ministry planned to include a "Say NO to Alcohol” component in its healthy lifestyle campaign". hahaha...all i can say is, this will fail terribly just like the infamous "Tak Nak Berhenti" campaign. at times like these, i wish i was in the advertising industry. with such "wonderful" campaigns...one could be fat and laughing all the way to the bank.

stupid campaigns aside, work wise...its damn boring now. all im doing day in and out is documenting all the development i have completed. stupid scribe work...only upside to all this, BHPetrol has been feeding us for the past 3 days as user training sessions are currently going on. monday had 1901 hotdogs, tuesday had pizza hut and today...little penang cafe. hehehe. i really wonder how im going to shed my fats to the targetted weight. already missed last months target and its already mid-july with 7kgs more to go. saddening...

Goodbye to a friend...

Hi all, it's been a lil' while. Here's some updates:

1) Friend from India passed away... Though it happened almost 2-3 weeks ago... still, the reality of this is not even sipping into my thoughts... not even now... it just doesn't seem real... I couldn't feel sad about it... Though mentally I am aware of the lost... still... my emotions are still locked away from this... Sigh...

He was the first friend I met in the training facility, us being the last persons to leave the lab... I enjoyed his presence each time we meet up...

Though short lived... and I never expect us to keep in contact for long... He's gained my utmost respect...

May you rest in peace in God's domain... I will miss you a lot subbu...

1) R is going to the UK soon. =) After such a long time he called, and we are meeting up. I am so happy for him. And I am pretty anxious to learn all about his Europe trip, it's super zhunded... He's got the guts to travel alone, and that is definitely one major trade I wanna inherit. =) Hope he's got the time to take me around next time. Wanna head to Netherlands/Greece. Gonna miss him...

2) B's left to Sydney for 1 month... or so that's what B says... or what the company says... I am damn happy for B... but... can't help but feeling sad at the same time, cause... there is a chance for extension... or something better headed B's way there... In any case, I mustn't be selfish, should feel supportive... sigh*... Hoping able to see B again...

3) P... well... last I heard... P's doing something macro-ish... nothing much else... sigh*...

4) I bought 2 ori DVD's. Narnia and HP4. Love the casing, very nicely done:

5) Condo unit is looking a mess now. Even more affordable ones like Crimsom, and D Aman Ria has better maintained units... Utter disappointment. I intend to take some pictures and head to the management office next week... Something has to be done... My parents seem to lost the will to go on fighting... Maybe I should at least chip in as an occupant... I wonder why no other occupants would give a shit... Either they are
a) Bz with their daily lives to care
b) Too lazy to give a damn
c) They themselves are the one who litters/vomit/smoke in the lifts and in every single fucking inch of the premise.

What to expect next? Pee in the pool? Pee in the lift? Fuck it... With all those kids swarming the pool, I wonder if it's even safe to accidentally take a gulp of the water.

6) Work-wise... Support role only and yeah it should be a simple job right... why complain? I am not even meeting clients... and yet... feeling all fucked up about it. Damn... I don't even feel like going there on Monday... but... someone has gotta bring bread to the table rite...? Or simply just chipping in...

7) Game-wise... Nothing to update. Have not even touched the 2 new GC games I bought... Re-playing FFX and sorta enjoying it.

8) Movies-wise. Watched Superman. Heh... I had not expectations whatsoever on it... Hey, it's just Superman right? Everywhere I go, or watch it's superman everywhere (Be it justice league or some game featuring the cape crusader)... What's so special?

Well, that changed when I actually went for a 11.30 midnite movie on a Thursday with Aeriel. hehe... it was pretty fun! I enjoyed her company a lot and guess where we watched it? CINELEISURE! Yeah, it's finally opened and it's got a cute 2-couple-seater setting. heh. No dividers btw you and the person next to you = more comfy. It's got super good leg room, comfy all the way...

Ahehe... and I can't help but notice the wink* throughout the movie... Super winks*... hehe... I just chuckle to myself each time looking at the screen... Super K! Didn't think is until I watched the movie. ;-P

Suffice to say I enjoyed it a lot... Though the action is limited, very Bryan-Singre-ish produced. Simialar to previous x-men installment.

Overall, it gets a 4/5. ;-) Definitely gonna get ori DVD for it. This and X-men 3: The Last Stand. ;-P

Alrite then, that's about it then. Will leave you guys to it then. Take care. Muak*

The mamak, Williams...

it was once a glorious place with excellent serving dishes, good service along with the occasional stench of the drain. nothing i ate there back in those college days tasted anything close to bad. however, today...everything sucked!! bad service, lousy food quality...everything was watered down and the stench was even stronger with the drain closed up.

brought my taekwondo master there to eat. never have i been so embarassed before as he was cursing his mind off about the service and food quality (he's a very patient man by the way). my advice, dont go there and waste your money. you're better off going to dharoos or an italian restaurant. seriously!! the standard has dropped drastically...close to useless!! very disappointed and am NEVER going back there again...

Laptop

Last time whenever i see working poeple with a laptop bag it always gives me an impression they are probably some big shot in the company and that's why the company provides them laptop..

But boy was i wrong, when a company provides you a laptop, they "expect" you to take it back and work from home or u have to travel alot and carry that stupid heavy grey box around. bah.... why is the laptop still so heavy like it was created yesterday? make it smaller and lighter already like an ipod, btw my darling bought me an ipod nano.. *grins*

work has been stressful, i gotta work on saturdays now to meet project dateline. sigh
but the good news is i'm going to phuket on the 14th for my company trip... it;s a 3 days 2 nights holiday..i havent been there so it's good and relaxing for me..

and i'll be flying back to thailand again on the following week to do deployment. hopefully everything goes smoothly.

thats it for an update. I'm still contemplating whether to watch the football match (italy vs germany)

hmmmmm....at times like this i wish i can skip work like i did during college.

Germany Won!

LOL! I'm not a football fan at all but I decided to watch today's Argentina Vs Germany match after receiving a call from Jin.

I had a gut feeling that Germany will win although the first half looked like Argentina was stronger. I told my dad that "See la, sure tie one, sure go into extra time. Germany will win the shootout".

I bet my dad was thinking "ahhh she don't even watch football" LOL! But seriously, I don't watch football at all.

But... gut feeling is gut feeling la. Don't you just hate my guts?

Anyway, wanna group up to watch the finals anyone?
