I was afraid to look at kong kong when I was at the hospital. ....

The stroke just happened so sudden. The hemorrhage is at the bottom left of the brain. He went into coma, but now awake. But...

He can't speak and his whole right body is paralyzed. But he is recovering fast.

It’s suffering when you are in pain, and you can’t talk. You hear people talking to you, but you can only response by gripping their hands tightly. You can’t say you want a blanket because you are cold, you can’t remove the blanket when you are warm.

It’s not fun having the IV drip attached to your wrist all the time. It’s not fun having a food tube from your nose down to the throat and to the stomach. It’s not fun being naked with only an adult pampers (which is stuffy) and having a tube connected to the urine bag.

It’s not fun watching people you love visit you and shed tears.

I still very afraid…. If the day I might be in the hospital going through the same thing Kong kong is going through now.

Olympus µ770SW digital camera...suuuuppeeerrr tempted to get it!! check out the specs here. in summary its a 7.1megapixel, image stabilized, waterproof up 10 feet (33m) & shockproof for 5 feet yo!! looks damn damn good on paper. i wonder how it will do under seawater when im in Langkawi. hehehe. now to decide...will it be my L lens or this freaking tempting baby...or maybe both...(i somehow sense my darling looking at this message awkwardly and what she would say in this case) wakakaka.

No more a piracy hub...

ohhh...Bukit Bintang no more a piracy hub - source?! well, i did notice a few months back that there were no more pirated stuff in the Sinma complex where darling usually gets her Korean/Japanese series...but Sg. Wang Plaza, should till have right?! oh well...we shall see how long this piracy thing can actually sustain. as long there is demand...im sure there will be people out there with supply. just have to know where to look...

in any case...Gong Xi Fa Chai to everyone!! may you collect lots and lots of angpao (and lose it all to me at the table..wakaka) and of course, enjoy the holiday season. =)

Ghost Rider

Ghost Rider isn't a good movie. It does have some enjoyable scene. Pretty coowl special effects. But overall disappointing storyline.

What drove me to crave this movie is to see a live-action CG blackheart. Much to my surprised... he doesn't make an appearance in that form. Sigh*


WB is majooooooooor kkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk though. =) At least that's worthed my buck. =)

Overall, 2/5.

Pouring out some thoughts here.

I am very very very pissed off with... *SIGH*.

Sometimes, I really don't know who my friends really are anymore. I am speaking in very general term. Almost everyone leaves me in so much disappointment that I don't have the breath left for it.

I am just so very very tired and I cannot hang on to this anymore.

I am never informed on anything. And when the time calls for it... I AM NEVER EVEN CALLED OUT! Even someone close to my hearts is doing this... Really man, someone so dear to me is doing this even now... and I spare him the questioning because there's just no point...

And please... let's go out... be merry... and enjoy the occassion without you trying to sell things to me... PLEASE!!!

Sometimes I just wanna give up staying in touch. I am just so tired. So tired... SO VERY TIRED!!!

Sigh... Going for a movie. Damn... I so need to do things on my own from now on... the age calls for it.

I can't hold on to this anymore... I am just too tired for it.

once again, they're trying to shoo away their own professional and then question why all of them prefer to work abroad. what am i talking about? source - here. how can they do such a thing?! do they even engage their brains before even talking to check if what is coming out going to sound right?! on one hand, you don't want to use international models and use local models and on the other, you don't want to use pan-asian looking ones which includes local ones too. so where do they go?! overseas to earn bigger and better salaries...& when that happens, the question of why do they prefer to work abroad then here?!

i think its really difficult to make a living here. so much politics and idiots nonsensical people running the country. no hope...

Bullet Witch (Xbox 360) & God of War 2 Videos

Hey... whadayya know... I'm not dead yet... Surprised huh.

Thus Bullet Witch has finally graced our gaming shores... well... not quite yet. However, being a weak loser who gives in to temptation easily, I've purchased the Jap version. Regret ensues... why can't I just wait for the US release that has many of the Jap bugs ironed out?! And only 1 month away!!! Argh...

Ok whatever...

Down to the business.

Bullet Witch has got MASSIVE potential! But fails in execution... utterly. Why must games surround by hype be such flop?! God forbid that happens to God of War 2 (I am keeping my fingres crossed on that one, so far the game play videos don't disappoint).

Graphics

Pretty massive open environments that does streamline loading. So area transition is seamless, no load screens. I am not entirely sure why small enclosed areas go into load screens so frequently... where's the logic in that!?

Interesting physics engine, laughable and almost insulting destructable environment, good character/enemy design (You get number of them towering the map!).

Not sure if it's the game or my TV... while playing the lighting is so bad... I am practically shooting blindly at enemies. My eyes is squinting now from all the ordeal. Ack...

Sound

Don't understand jack when it comes to dialogue and storytelling. The partial chinese subtitle provides some ocassional cues. Sound effects are recycled. Ho-hum.

Gameplay

I can't stand how publishers are putting so much compliment/hoo-ha on the game. All totally fake man.

The gameplay sorta sucks. Not even comparable to Devil May Cry series. Alicia's movement is so stiff, making it extremely hard to escape cross fires.

What I did enjoy about the game are the spells she can conjure. There are a variety up her sleeves yet some are mere eye candy and conceptual but has no effect whatsoever. Here are the list of spells:

1) Ancient wall
Alicia erects a magical inscripted wall in front of her. Providing a temporary shield when receiving heavy gun fire. This is totally useless when enemies are using explosives.

2) Crows

Summon a pack of crows to distract the lesser enemies. Not quite effective (Bug me thinks), but ocasionally does provide you open window for some quick kills.

3) Rose Spear

Stupid shit spell that does not work. Cool concept though. What happens is that alicia splatters blood from her wrist. Where the drops make contact, spikes will come shooting off the ground. Impaling enemies on the spot. Wait, that's not all, Impaled enemies will burst into flames. Coowl huh? But 99% of the time this spell DON'T connect.

4) Sacrifice

Alicia cuts her wrist and showers blood onto innocent bystanders and NPCs. Which is another useless spells. Mainly, the NPCs are so stupid that each time you resurrect them, they will just get killed in a second. Might as well save the mana for more powerful offensive.

5) Willpower

Uses telekenetic power to push objects. Useless spell too, because all it does is push away inanimate objects and does nothing but blow a light breeze on enemies. Jesus...

6) Thunder

Very powerful spell, but due to hit detection problem the devastation boils down to the main hammer blow. Alicia yaps some mumbo jumbo and we see the sky goes dark, lightning cloud looms over, then we are provided a split second to select the target, followed by successive strikes from minor bolts and finally with the finale where ONE HUMANGOUS MARTHA FARKIN HUMMIN OF A LIGHTNING BOLT spanking on the main target. KABOOM! Beautiful explosion!

7) Tornado

Nv acquire yet. But the trailer shows the tornado sucking in everything in its path, including leveling buildings.

8) Meteor

Fooyoh, would love to get my hands on this, nv acquire as well, but the trailer shows multiple rocks raining from the heavens, causing ground zero below. Sweeeeet.

That's about it. Overall this game gets 1/5.

On to non-gamin stuff

Same ol' same ol'. Nothing happenin other than planned trip to Bangkok. Repeat... Plan. Hope I am able to get that leave approved. Looking forward to get laid... Ehmm... did I just said get laid? I meant... relax. Ehm...

Pretty upset with B for no reason recently... prolly due to that night's conversation... I tire the way B makes me feel so inferior every time... But major cutie though. Sigh*... Oh well, hope can catch a movie with B soon... and dinner.

Suddenly I just don't feel so hot for PS3 anymore... am I finally losing my grip on gamin collec-tion? Maybe... Urgh... Dunno what I want.

I want to get out from my current job... or rather move forward to other things... I just don't feel motivated going back there. Yikes!

Seriously... There's just no satisfaction in my work anymore... I am not even sure whether I've accomplished anything... each time you pour in effort... in the end, there just isn't any appreciation to justify what you've done... or maybe I am just not living up to expectations. We'll see. Either way, I want to at least get my term done and move on.

Oh and uh... I eat damn a lot recently. So you could prolly guess my mood huh.

Thaipusam @ Batu Caves

took the day off and headed down to Batu Caves this year for Thaipusam photo-shooting. journey started of at 330am at Yu Jin's place. couldn't sleep so decided to stay awake till then. there met up with 2 of his friends, KK and Yew Meng (hope i go their names right...hehehe). anyway, set out for breakfast before we went shooting. initial plan was to have bah kut teh (need meat for more strength mah!!) but it too early they just weren't ready yet. so decided to have dim sum instead.

my goodness, felt so out of place there. 4 mah-lat-lou photogs wake up so early to eat dim sum with so many youngsters (my age mostly...but hanging out with Yu Jin made me feel older *bleakz*) around eating after a night of clubbing. my goodness!! but then, those scantily cladded ladies did wake up a one of the guys instantly. wont say names but i just wanted to point out...i didnt sleep (so not me la!!). hehehe.

anyway, proceed to Batu Caves right after breakfast and arrived at 6am. parked damn far away from the action to avoid double parking. pictures can be found here. basically, what happens during Thaipusam is that the Tamil community will celebrate and commemorate both the birthday of Lord Murugan and the occasion where Parvati gave Murugan a Vel (lance) so that he could vanquish the evil demon Soorapadman-source.

to me, it was both intriguing and scary. was so in awe with the sound of drums that i almost felt as if i would also slip into a state of trance. very heart moving. there were so many people or all ages there. even children celebrated these day carrying milk offerings. but i was utterly scared by one of the devotees as he was calling me closer for a blessing. check out the pictures link...im sure even you'll be afraid. was also rather jumpy everytime a devotee were to slip into a state of trance and started screaming and shouting out. on an overall, i had lots of fun and gain a great deal of experience from all of this...though i was nearly scared to death when a devotee almost dropped his kavadi on me. o_O

anyway, was shooting from 6am till approx 10am. didn't manage to traverse the steps as we were dead tired and presumed that there were going to be alot of people inside anyway. left for home as soon as a couple of batteries had died and so did out feet. it killed the feet even more as we had to walk a distance back to our car.

lesson learnt from it all...bring a zoom lens, wear lesser clothing (i wore jeans...ish!!), arrive early to shoot at the river and then move across after day breaks, and finally...park nearer to the action!! hehehe. if asked whether will return next year, the answer as of now...NO!! cant stand waking up so early...but who knows. till next time...ja neh~
