Fire Drill

I noticed that the people living in my block are oblivious towards fire emergencies. Everyone is just either too ignorant to bother when the alarm sounds... therein lies the danger...

Just a few days back, we had a community meeting discussing various issues. One particular was highlighted, in regards to few months back there was a fire alarm set off on a particular floor... and only that floor evacuated the premise. Other floors remain oblivious or simply didn't care.

Come to think about it, I have never heard the alarm sound before and don't even recognize it.

In that meeting there was a call for volunteers to act as fire wardens assign for each floor. Only realizing the potential life threatening danger there and then, I decided to volunteer and do my part as an active member...

I was quite surprised to also learn that I was the only one volunteering... It just goes to show nobody bothers to be civic minded anymore... ~Sigh...

Now... waiting for their call and the impending fire drill exercise...
