Service Orientation? Got Meh?

Woww... I've just had the greatest of discomforts in acquiring an IT gadget from a shop located in section 17's IT Digital Mall.

Can't remember the shop name, nor am I interested in defaming them. But as a consumer, I would strongly advice all to avoid that shop as to spare yourselves from the ackwardness.

The shop lot (Not stall) is located on the 1st floor. Immediately to your right once you get up the escalator.

I was inquiring on the range of DVD-R drives.

1) First approached the counter. The only 2 visible chinese sales person. I asked for the drives... both were sluggish... they responded with a brief grunt, vaguely pointing me to the aisle where the drives were shelfed.

2) I went there. 2 guys there. One Malay who was busy surfing his pc. The other chinese guy eating. The malay guy was nearer to the drives. So I picked a few and inquired about specs. Long story short... I received the most monotoneous respond anyone could get from an IT dealer. I swear he even frowned when I got more inquisitive on the products.

Yes, I am an IT noob (Even though I study IT lol), but when I asked him about the difference between 2 cables... from what I know, I tried illustrating with finger gestures, he cut me off... and told me to bring my CPU so he could show me. And went back surfing.

My God... this guy should definitely get fired.

At least the chinese guy who was eating actually showed a hint of wanting to educate me. He provided a brief yet satisfactory explanation.

3) Selected the product. Headed to the counter. Tried to bargain, but was given very somber response from the 2 shit heads manning the counter. Bleh* Decided to pay and head off.

If it were not for time constraints, I would have broaden my choices with store fronts. You call this service oriented?

My say: Avoid this shop at all costs.
